The Associação Amigos do Cáster presents the Encontro de Fotografia Ambiente Imagens Dispersas 2010, one of its most appreciated and expressive ventures, that is to say its photographic competition. This year’s theme is “Nature in Motion”. This theme constitutes one of the most fascinating areas of nature photography, giving the opportunity for creativity and the exploration of the infinite possibilities which it allows.
This year’s event has seen an increase in both the number of prizes and competition categories. As a result, the value of the prizes awarded has reached more than €7,100.00 which will be awarded to 15 winners in four categories: 3 winners in the category “Grande Prémio Ambiente Imagens Dispersas 2010”, 3 winners in the category “Prémio Ambiente Imagens Dispersas 2010 – Ovar”, 6 winners in the category “Prémio Ambiente Imagens Dispersas 2010 – Ovar Schools” and finally 3 winners in the category “Prémio Ambiente Imagens Dispersas 2010 – General Public” (Please click on this link to see the prize list)

The various prizes will be announced during the series of conferences, which signal the start of the event which will take place on Saturday 2nd October this year, in the gallery at the Centro de Arte de Ovar. Details of the other events included in the Encontro de Fotografia Ambiente Imagens Dispersas 2010 will be made known at the beginning of September when the events programme is released.
